| I was a Ph.D student in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at the Chinese University of Hong Kong under the supervision of Prof. Michael R. Lyu and Prof. Irwin King. Before that, I received my Bachelor and Master degrees in Information Engineering from the South China University of Technology in 2003 and 2006 respectively. |

My current research interests include Web search and information retrieval,
with broad applications on web, scientific literature, and other textual data.
I am also interested in data mining, machine learning, and social network analysis. My previous
research projects were related to computer vision and pattern recognition. |
