| The merge of Medical Imaging and Virtual Reality has made significant advances in computer assisted diagnosis, treatment, and training in medicine. MIAR aims at bringing together researchers in computer science, electrical engineering, physics, and clinical medicine to present the state-of-the-art developments in this ever-growing research area. The workshop will be held on 10 - 12 June 2001 in Hong Kong, a dynamic city of over 6 million people, and a meeting point of Eastern and Western cultures.
The meeting will consist of a single track of oral/poster presentations, with each session led by an invited lecture from our distinguished international faculty members. Papers presenting original research in imaging and augmented reality in medicine are being sought. Suggested topics include (but are not limited to):
