Biography

Mr. Weijie Wu is working towards his PhD degree in the Department of Computer Science & Engineering at The Chinese University of Hong Kong. He is doing research in the Advanced Networking and System Research Group, under the supervision of Prof. John C.S. Lui. His current research interests include P2P networks and network economics. During the summer of 2011, he spent two months at National University of Singapore working as an intern student, under the supervision of Dr. Richard T.B. Ma. He obtained his Bachelor's degree from School of Electronics Engineering and Computer SciencePeking University in July 2008. His personal interests include table-tennis, badminton and hiking.

Research

His research interests mainly focus on computer network modeling and protocol designs, including but not limited to
  • Incentive and resource allocation in Peer-to-Peer network, Video-on-Demand system and wireless networks;
  • Application of optimization and game theory in communication networks; and
  • Network economics and pricing; protocol design and performance evaluation.
